Today marks the 5th day of the 5th month (Chinese calender) which Chinese people celebrate "Zhong" Day or more commonly known for Dragon Boat Festival. Zhong zi is a traditional chinese food, made from glutinous rice stuffed with all sort of fillings and wrapped in bamboo or reed leaves. They are cooked by boiling or steaming.

Legend has it that today is when Chinese people commemorate the death of Qu Yuan, a famous Chinese poet from the kingdom of Chu. Known for his patriotism, he tried to warn his king about the expansionism of their Qin neighbours however her failed to do so. According to legend, when the villagers heard about Qu Yuan being so devastated that he drowned himself in the Miluo river, they made "zhong zi" and were throwned to the river to prevent the fishes to eat Qu Yuan's body.
