What do I want in life?

To be honest, I don't have an answer to this question. Career wise that is. I currently have this stable job doing marketing and PR. The job is great and I have really good colleagues to work with. The question is, do I want to be a marketing and PR person in the next 10 years down the road? I don't know. My colleague and a really close friend of mine suggested that I should venture into fashion since I've been passionate about it all along. The word "fashion" seems easy for some people but it's not that easy when you're in this part of the world. If I'm in New York or L.A. or maybe London, the possibility of having a shot doing "fashion" will be of course, higher. With tons of retrenchment going on right now in most countries, I don't think I even have the chance to rethink my career path at the moment and at this point of time, I am GLAD and BLESSED that I still have my current job. I wonder how can I manage to pay all of the bills if I'm jobless right now? The first thing comes in mind : The Confessions of a Shopaholic incident where Rebecca Bloomwood is in MAJOR DEBT.

Besides having a career path to think about, basically everything else is doing fine. What I want in life now, in general is that to live life like there's no other, be happy, be who you are 'cos no one else knows you better than yourself and love others without expecting any sort of return. I think that would made my life simpler, if not, happier :)

Sucker for Vintage.

After only reading page 80, I have this sudden passion for vintage. It feels like butterflies in your stomach. An instant sensation that hits right through your veins. I believe "vintage" is still not as mainstream as the other part of the world. I currently own two really beautiful vintage dresses from VBB and when I took it for hemming, the seamstress commented on how delicate yet extremely good workmanship it has on the garments. Maybe someday I'm able to have a vintage collection on my own.

What a strange power there is in clothing.

Have a vintage weekend :)

Breakfast anyone?

Morning lovelies! Even though I woke up with a tummy ache today but it didn't stop me from having a good TGIF mood :D So far, everything is going fine with our Freedom trip next month and am starting on planning another trip abroad. Where should I go next? Melbourne or Taipei? Anyway, the next good news would be Nasty Gal is FINALLY opening doors(in terms of shipment) to Malaysia! Woot! Christina from Nasty Gal had informed me that the website will soon be updated with Malaysia being included on the shipment list. I can see where my $$ will be next.

This weekend will be a mellow one for me so if anyone wants to hangout, holla me alright? Oh, by the way, my gong gong will be celebrating his 70th Birthday at a karaoke joint this Sunday. I was as stunned as my parents were but what do they say when you're getting older, you tend to bring your inner child out of yourself? Two thumbs up gong gong! :) :)

Till then my love, have a lovely Friday.

Gimme Sympathy.

Get hot, get too close to the flame
Wild, open space
Talk like an open book
Sign me up
Got no time to take a picture
I'll remember someday all the chances we took
We're so close to something better left unknown
We're so close to something better left unknown

I can feel it in my bones
Gimme sympathy
After all of this is gone
Who'd you rather be?
The Beatles or the Rolling Stones?
Oh, seriously
You're gonna make mistakes, you're young
Come on, baby, play me a song
Like, "Here Comes the Sun"
Come on, baby, play me a song
Like, "Here Comes the Sun"

Don't go, stay with the all-unknown
Stay away from the hooks
All the chances we took
We're so close to something better left unknown
We're so close to something better left unknown

I can feel it in my bones
Gimme sympathy
After all of this is gone
Who'd you rather be?
The Beatles or the Rolling Stones?
Oh, seriously
You're gonna make mistakes, you're young
Come on, baby, play me a song
Like, "Here Comes the Sun"

Let the piccas do the talking again yeah? By the way, piccas this time around will be all about Polaroids and it really brings out the nostalgic feel to it. So anyway enjoy!

LMDD 00309

MOF (Ministry of Food) has decided to open up at KL sometime August last year in Pavilion with the indulgence of Japanese desserts and coffee. We've decided to give it a try since I love to try new dessert joints in town and Jap food is one of my all time favourite. Hence, we've tried:-

Mochi with Red Bean paste

Macha (Green Tea) Ice Cream with Red Bean paste & Jap Dumplings

Hokkaido Sweet Potatoes with Red Bean Paste

Hokkaido Snow Mountain

Hokkaido Kintan Jellies with Fruits & Red Bean paste

Ratings : YumLicious :)

The Japs love to use red bean paste as base maybe because of the flavour and sweetness it can bring out to every dessert plus everything here are made from scratch (including the soft ice cream). Some might commented that is too sweet but if you're sharing it with a few peeps, I think the sweetness will be just fine. I did not try out the beverages though 'cos the sole purpose of it was to have desserts only. Recommended for those who have really sweet tooth/dessert lover/Jap food freaks.

Krispy Kreme F I N A L L Y hits KL this 27th April 2009. You can purchase them in Times Square and/or Mid Valley Megamall.

Y A Y!!!

This whole week's been crazyyy with meetings, lunch appointments and events which I almost died-ed from exhaustion. Thank God I'll be having a four day break now to distress + I desperately need a massage therapy now. Maybe a drink or two at the bar will do the trick :P Will promise myself to finish up with the daily wear soon by this end week.

Am done with the reservations and I can't wait for May 30th now. Freedom Baby.

Birthday Shoutouts to AlextheAhBeng & MarcusKoh. Have a good one and I love you guys! Hugsss

Till then darlings, have an awesome Friday!

A Jap Favour.

Whenever I need a quick Japanese craving fix, the first place I thought of will be Sushi Zanmai. They served good Jap fast food with tons of variety to choose from. Firstly it's nearby my place and the environment was not so bad(quite cozy infact) with Jap-Pop music playing in the background. I always start my food course(when it comes to Jap food generally) with:-

Sashimi Platter

Then I moved on with sushi like:-

Eggie Unagi Sushi

Continued on with:-

Soft Shell Crabbies

Tempura Platter

Unagi Tamaki

Udon Noodles with Chicken Teriyaki & Mushrooms

Seafood Jap Rice

Jap Curry with Chicken & Vege

Lastly I end my Jap food course with desserts!(of course) such as:-

Macha Ice Cream

& my all time FAVOURITE ChocoBanana Parfait!

You should definitely give it a try when you're in The Gardens or Pyramid which I normally go to.

Ratings: YumLicious :)

*Quickly typing* I'm off to brunch now and have a spanking good Saturday :D

Off Topic
A quick lil fact on how does my ratings defined on the food & drinks I've tasted before:-
